We are honored by our relationship with our facility partners; we appreciate the effort and commitment of the staff and counselors to creating new and sustaining lives for the men and women in their programs. We value the trust and confidence placed with us, and are privileged to have the opportunity to bring our work to the women of these facilities.
All of the women in these facilities and who participate in The Circle of Women program are sober, in counseling and working towards reclaiming their lives, families, and self-sufficiency.
Odyssey House
We began our work with Odyssey House at their East Harlem location in 2004. Since then we continue to deliver our program there to both the residents of the East Harlem location and the women from their Mabon House (Wards Island) location.
Phoenix House
We work with the female residents at the Phoenix House Jay Street Career Academy located in Brooklyn, NY. These women are receiving job training, while completing their rehabilitation program. They are working on getting their lives back on track in sobriety and, in some cases, their families reunited. The next step for them is independent self-sufficiency with their families. We began our relationship with Phoenix House six years ago at the Prospect Heights location.
Veritas Therapeutic Community, Inc.
In 1992 we began our work at the upper Manhattan location of the Veritas Therapeutic Community. We are the only program at Veritas in which two distinct populations of residents participate equally; the women of the Veritas Adult Re-entry Residence and the Veritas Mother & Child Program. The women in the Adult Re-entry Residence program have already completed at least one year at the upstate Veritas location, have received job training, and are seeking employment in preparation to exit the facility. The women in the Mother & Child Program all have children under the age of 2, and are in the beginning of their treatment. We have been honored with delivering the keynote address during a resident graduation ceremony in 2007.
