A More Perfect Union President, Jamie Allen Black, was interviewed on WPLF 95.5 fm by Bill Ayres on his weekly Sunday night radio show which aired in New York City. Mr. Ayres was first introduced to The Circle of Women Program during a presentation made at New York Community Radio day. He was impressed with the work that we do, and the impact that we have with women at risk, and invited us to be a featured guest on his show so that his listeners could become aware of A More Perfect Union.
Spring 2008:
- June 19, 2008: Third Annual Summer Concert and Spring Benefit
A More Perfect Union held its 2008 Summer Concert and Spring Benefit on June 19, 2008 at Connolly's Times Square, NYC. Renowned local musician, Jon Christopher (www.jonchristophermusic.com), performed for over 100 attendees. Through ticket sales and our silent auction, almost $8,000 was raised to support our work with women at risk. - January 17, 2008: Women Connecting Women - BENEFIT
A More Perfect Union and our Special Guest, renowned artist DANIELLE MAILER presented a showcase of her never seen before artwork celebrating women as spiritual icons in Women Connecting Women. Proceeds from the sale of her work benefit our dedication to helping women engender healthy relationships, learn self-reliance and the importance of building strong female bonds.

Founding member, Linda Gordon Howard, was a featured speaker on AllBusiness.com, one of the premier business sites on the Web. In September 2007, Linda was interviewed about her book, The Sexual Harassment Handbook, by AllBusiness.com's Chris Bjorklund.

A More Perfect Union, and special guest Kayce Freed Jennings, honored the accomplishments of Azora Davis, graduate of The Circle of Women program. Our Second Annual Benefit and Silent Auction was the most successful of our fundraising efforts in the history of our organization. With more than 125 people in attendance, we raised just over $15,000. These funds will go directly toward the implementation of expansion, development and support of our program. - February 15, 2007: Founding Member Linda Gordon Howard Releases New Book
Congratulations to A More Perfect Union's founding member and current Vice-President on our Board of Directors, Linda Gordon Howard, on the release of her new book, The Sexual Harassment Handbook, published by Career Press. It is available in bookstores now!
